Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro: Design and Display Xiaomi released a live image of the Redmi K20 Pro a couple of days ago and the phone looked gorgeous. At the launch event, the smartphone was shown in two colour options in real life and it looks stunning, to say the least. The Redmi K20 Pro boasts of a glass sandwich design with the rear panel being a 3D gradient one. The phone comes in different colour options, including a version with Carbon Fibre Black. Thanks to the glass back, the Redmi K20 Pro weighs 191 grams when taken into hands. As for the display, there’s a 6.39-inch screen rendering Full HD+ resolution. Being a flagship smartphone, the Redmi K20 Pro has an AMOLED display that also integrated the 7th Gen in-display fingerprint scanner. The display can get up to 600 nits bright and it even has support for HDR. The screen-to-body ratio on the Redmi K20 Pro is a whopping 91% and it has been achieved with the integration of pop-up selfie camera. The chin on the Redmi K20 Pro is also very minimal at 3.8mm thick. Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro: Hardware and Software Like it rumoured, the Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and Adreno 640 GPU that handles graphics. The phone comes in different variants- 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The handset lacks a microSD card slot for storage expansion, but on the brighter side, Redmi has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack which will come as a delight for all the PUBG Mobile players out there. For gaming, the Redmi K20 Pro also comes with eight-layer cooling, which will keep the device cool while intensive gaming sessions. To further boost the gaming experience, the phone is getting Game Turbo 2.0 which offers features like sound quality optimisation, network optimisations and removes all the background tasks. Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro: Cameras The Redmi K20 Pro is a flagship smartphone and it features triple rear cameras like the OnePlus 7 Pro. The primary sensor used on the Redmi K20 Pro is the Sony IMX586 which we also saw on smartphones like Redmi Note 7 Pro, Honor View 20 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Alongside the primary rear sensor, there’s an 8MP telephoto lens and a 13MP wide-angle shooter. This camera setup is pretty much similar to the ones present on the OnePlus 7 Pro. On the front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera and there will be software-based wide-angle selfie shooting feature. Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro: Battery and Connectivity Options Lastly, the Redmi K20 Pro has a 4000mAh battery which will last longer while gaming. The company has added support for 27W fast charging technology. As for the connectivity, the K20 Pro has Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port and NFC. Xiaomi Redmi K20: Specifications and Features Alongside the Redmi K20 Pro, the Chinese company also unveiled the Redmi K20 which is an upper mid-range smartphone taking on the Vivo V series of phones in India. The Redmi K20 uses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset and also comes with up to 8GB of RAM. Rest of the specifications are pretty much identical to the Redmi K20 Pro. The camera setup is also similar to the Redmi K20 Pro and it runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20: Pricing and Availability Moving onto the pricing, the Redmi K20 Pro with Snapdragon 855 SoC starts at just 2499 Yuan (approx. Rs 25,936) for the 6GB+64GB storage model, while the variant with 6GB+128GB storage costs 2599 Yuan, followed by the premium model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage at 2999 Yuan (approx. Rs 31,000). It’s safe to assume the Redmi K20 Pro is the cheapest phone with Snapdragon 855 chipset. Also, the Redmi K20’s prices start at 1999 Yuan in China. Both the phones will reach Indian market sometime next month.
